The center is open to people of all backgrounds, not only practicing Buddhists, and emphasizes direct meditation experience, mindfulness, and disciplined practice as the core of its teaching.
Today, it remains one of the longest-running Zen institutions in Puerto Rico and serves as a key hub for Zen practice in the Caribbean.
