Elmslie Memorial United Church is a historic Protestant church located in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. It is part of the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands (UCJCI) and is one of the oldest and most well-known churches in the Cayman Islands.
The congregation dates back to early missionary activity in the 1800s, and the current church building stands on a site that has seen several earlier church structures destroyed by hurricanes. The present sanctuary reflects that long history of rebuilding and resilience in the Cayman Islands.
Elmslie is located right in the center of George Town near the waterfront (Seafarers Way / Harbour Drive area), making it one of the most visible and easily recognized landmarks in the capital.
The church follows the mission of the UCJCI, which emphasizes Christian worship, discipleship, and community service. Its vision focuses on “touching lives, nurturing disciples, and seeking transformation through Christ,” and it serves a diverse congregation from across Cayman society.
Elmslie Memorial United Church remains an active congregation and an important part of Cayman Islands religious and cultural heritage, hosting weekly worship services and community activities in the heart of George Town.
