Religious Services Service
The Jamaica Baptist Union (JBU) is a Christian denomination and umbrella organization for Baptist churches in Jamaica. Headquartered at 2B Washington Boulevard, Kingston, it serves as a central body coordinating more than 300 Baptist congregations across the island. The JBU plays a major role in Jamaican religious life through worship, education, and social outreach.
Beyond spiritual leadership, the JBU operates educational and welfare programs, including theological training through Calabar Theological College. Auxiliaries such as the Jamaica Baptist Women's Federation empower women and families through education, wellness initiatives, and community development.
The Union’s Kingston headquarters hosts administrative offices, a bookstore, and resource centers supporting congregational and mission activities. It also provides guidance on Baptist beliefs and public engagement rooted in the principles of equality and service.
