The Mandeville Seventh-day Adventist Church is a long-established Christian congregation located at 13a Caledonia Road in Mandeville, Jamaica. It serves as a major center of worship and community outreach within the Seventh-day Adventist Church, particularly under the Central Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
The church traces its roots to 1948, when a small group of believers began worshiping under a lime tree in Caledonia, Manchester. By 1949, fifteen members were baptized and the congregation formally organized. Over decades, as membership expanded, the church relocated several times before settling permanently at its current Caledonia Road site in the mid-1950s. A modern sanctuary was dedicated in December 2007 after major renovations.
Mandeville Seventh-day Adventist Church emphasizes evangelism, Christ-centered worship, and youth empowerment. Its mission statement—“to seek, reach, and transform members of our communities into committed disciples of Christ”—reflects a strong focus on spiritual development and community service.
In 2019, the church launched the Life Hope Center, a 3,000-square-foot facility serving the poor and homeless in Mandeville. The center provides showers, meals, clothing, counseling, and medical assistance. This initiative exemplifies the church’s role as a “center of influence” within the region, aligning faith with social care.
Today, the church remains a hub of Adventist life in central Jamaica, offering weekly worship services, Bible studies, and digital ministries via its online platforms. It continues to foster discipleship, community support, and spiritual growth for residents and visitors alike.
