Pentecostal Sanctuary United Pentecostal Church is a Christian congregation located at 52 Upper Waterloo Road in Kingston, Jamaica. It serves as part of the network of assemblies affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church of Jamaica, the island’s largest apostolic organization. Established in 1970 as a daughter work of the Pentecostal Tabernacle, the church continues the United Pentecostal movement’s emphasis on oneness theology, Spirit-led worship, and community outreach.
The congregation—formerly known as North Kingston Sanctuary—is a member of the United Pentecostal Church International through its Jamaican branch. This affiliation connects it to a global fellowship committed to teaching repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit, doctrines rooted in Acts 2:38.
Pentecostal Sanctuary functions as both a worship center and community hub within Saint Andrew Parish. It provides religious instruction, youth engagement, and social support consistent with the UPCJ’s national mission “to convert souls and develop them into effective witnesses.” The church also extends its reach through digital channels such as Facebook and YouTube for sermons and outreach activities.
