About The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Juan de la Maguana
Attending church every Sunday will give you a respite from the fast pace of daily life. Come to church in C. Maguana to reflect, worship God, strengthen your spiritual connections, and focus on Jesus. Worship with a community of people who are striving to become more Christlike and learn from one another. There are two services in one two-hour session. The main service is called sacrament meeting. This service consists of singing, prayers, and sermons (or “talks”) given by different members of the congregation, and partake of the sacrament (or communion). In addition to sacrament meeting, there are a variety of classes for both children and adults. There is something for everyone, from 18 months and up! We gather to enjoy a lesson and discussion based on a different section of scripture each week.
