Bethany African Methodist Episcopal Church

Bethany African Methodist Episcopal Church is a Christian congregation in Chase Village, Trinidad and Tobago, affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) tradition. It is known as a community-focused church that combines worship, spiritual development, education, and outreach programs serving the surrounding area.

The church describes its mission as ministering to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of people through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Its stated vision emphasizes serving the broader community, not only through worship services but also through social support and personal development initiatives.

Bethany Worship Centre began in 1985 as a mission of Bethesda A.M.E. Church in Bhagna Trace, Chase Village. Over time, it developed from a small community mission into an established congregation with expanded facilities and community programs. According to the church's history, the congregation experienced significant growth under different pastoral leaders and has invested in building improvements, educational initiatives, youth activities, and community development projects.

The church offers regular worship services, prayer meetings, fellowship opportunities, and online ministry programs. Its website highlights activities such as anniversary celebrations, missionary work, family days, health-awareness events, educational programs, and music ministry. Recorded sermons and special services are also made available online.

As part of the A.M.E. denomination, the church follows a Methodist heritage and an episcopal form of governance led by bishops. The congregation emphasizes worship, fellowship, pastoral care, community service, and Christian education. Its motto is: “God our Father, Christ our Redeemer, The Holy Spirit our Comforter, Humankind our Family.”
